artist statement:

The question of authenticity within the media and its representations of everyday events is one of fact versus opinion. There is no real definition for what is true and what is false, no way to trust what is in front of you due to the possible manipulation that any of picture, article or video may have been through. It may be a question of artistic licence, or a question of morality, but it is the reason why my work centres around the issues of globalisation and mass media communication.

Each of the installations, videos and images I produce aims to question the viewers own experiences of films, newspaper articles, or the way in which we experience any of the worlds cultures from our armchairs. To question what supplies our daily intake of information and what dictates our views on the world is important at any time, least of all the present.
